To celebrate the launch of our new loyalty cards and to coincide with Easter, we have an amazing fun competition commencing on Thursday 30th of March and ending on Easter Saturday 15th of April..

Each day we will hide a golden egg somewhere in our soft-play area. The lucky child that finds the golden egg will not only win a chocolate egg, but they will also be entered into a draw to win a pre loaded loyalty card worth an EGG-CELLENT €50.00 to be spent on any activity of their choosing at ACTIVATE.

And as always NO ADULTS are allowed in the play-frame, this is a kids only competition!!

At Activate, the walls are covered in holds. Each colour represents a route or bouldering “problem.” When you’re on a route, you can only put your hands and feet on holds with the same colour.  Then follow the route up the wall to the highest hold of that colour, and that’s the finish. This is what makes climbing in the bouldering room fun. When you look at a wall and see over a hundred holds on it, you challenge is to figure out how to climb a route that might only use six.

To finish the route you have to figure out creative ways to extend your reach and build your grip strength to hang on to small holds. Sometimes you finish a route on the first try, sometimes it takes 20 tries or more. But each time you climb you get better and that progress is addicting. Many of you already know this but I know that my first time at the climbing gym, I had no idea what was going on until someone explained it to me.

Eventually, after a couple months or so, what happens is you’ll find that you’ve climbed all the routes within your skill level and you’ll crave some new challenges. Most likely everyone else feels the same way and that’s when it’s time to reset the holds.

When we reset the routes, we don’t just reset the tape, we unscrew all the holds and create new problems one by one. The person responsible for this reset is none other than Ricky Bell, one of Ireland’s best climbers (check him out here )

When a reset is complete, you’ll still see new problems pop up from week to week. The walls will fill in more with routes of various difficulty levels. Soon, points will displayed on each route which gives you an idea of how hard it is. If your looking for your next route to tackle and don’t know where to start, just ask someone. Terms & Conditions

Credit is awarded to all customers who present an ACTIVATE Loyalty card at the point of purchase. Points are awarded as follows:

  • 7.5% of your total purchase is turned into credit i.e. when you spend €10.00, ACTIVATE loyalty card members will receive €0.75 in credit.
  • The above does not apply to Parties or Groups

Credit is calculated on the value of goods and/or activities purchased after all special offers and discounts have been taken into account.

From time to time ACTIVATE may award bonus credit on selected items. While we will of course do our best to let you know in advance of these offers, we reserve the right to add and remove credit without prior notification.

Credit can only be earned in ACTIVATE when you produce your Loyalty Card. Where you are not in possession of your Loyalty Card, you may retain your receipt and present it along with your card in ACTIVATE within 30 days of the original transaction. Under no circumstances will points be retrospectively added without proof of purchase by way of a valid receipt.

ACTIVATE Credit (Spending)

Credit cannot be exchanged for cash. The credit can be redeemed against the following at ACTIVATE:

  • Soft Play
  • Bowling
  • Climbing & Bouldering
  • Mini Golf
  • Roller Skating
  • Nerf Wars
  • Cinema
Credit cannot be used against the following at ACTIVATE:
  • Parties/Groups
  • Purchase of Vouchers
  • Café purchases which include hot drinks & all food

Should the activities required be less than the value on the card then credit will be deducted to the corresponding value of the activity and the balance will be left on the card in the form of Activate credit. Change in the form of cash or otherwise will not be given under any circumstances.

Replacement cards

Please be aware that ACTIVATE cannot be held responsible for the loss of credit on any Loyalty Card. Please treat your card as though it were cash. Replacement Loyalty Cards can be picked up from Activate Waterford. Any credit on your previous card will be transferred to your new card provided . Should you have any queries on your credit balance or ACTIVATE’s Loyalty Programme in general, please contact us by email or by phone 051 325097.

Termination of Account

Where a card is not used for 12 consecutive months it will be deemed as expired by ACTIVATE. All details on the account will be suspended and the credit balance set to null. Where this occurs, customers will need to reapply for a new account and the credit cannot be transferred. To avoid this happening, simply use your card at least once within a 12 month period to earn or redeem credit.

ACTIVATE reserve the right to terminate any account that they believe is being misused with or without prior notification.

Modification and Termination of the Programme

ACTIVATE may modify any of the terms and conditions governing the programme – including, but not limited to, the methods through which credit can be earned, how credit can be used, the value of credit earned, and the conditions under which credit may be forfeited – at any time, with or without notice, even though these changes may affect a customer’s ability to use his/her credit that he/she has already earned.

The programme has no predetermined termination date and may continue until such time as ACTIVATE decides to terminate the programme. ACTIVATE may terminate the programme at any time, with notice via email to the Customer’s email address currently on file with ACTIVATE. Should the customers e-mail address not be available notification will be posted on  Any credit that are remaining in a customer’s account at time of termination will be forfeited and no compensation will be provided.

A customer’s continued participation in the programme constitutes the customer’s acceptance of any changes to these Terms and Conditions. Customers are responsible for remaining knowledgeable as to any changes that ACTIVATE may make to these Terms and Conditions. The most current version of these Terms and Conditions will be available on this Website and will supersede all previous versions of these Terms and Conditions.

Camps at ACTIVATE are aimed to provide fun, positive and memorable experiences for each and every individual child. ACTIVATE camps are an inclusive and positive environment for each individual child of all abilities.

We aim to provide new challenges and experiences leaving long lasting memories for each child that comes through our doors. As well as memories, it also about making new friends, learning new skills in a safe, clean environment. We would even go as far and say that Activate is your child’s “Home from Home”.

Upon arrival at ACTIVATE on the morning of camp, you will be greeted by your camp leader. They will answer any questions you may have regarding the day/week ahead, ensuring we have all the necessary details to provide your child with an adventurous and fun experience whilst in our care.

The camp leader will have a daily plan in place for the days activities ahead along with the daily lunch menu. The children will be provided with a hot lunch every day as well as all the juice/H2O they require.

During the day/week each child will avail of a wide range of activities that include Bowling, Soft Play, Climbing (Age dependant) Nerf Wars, Indoor/Outdoor Games, Talent Show to name a few! The kids will also enjoy trips to the playground (weather depending) which is adjacent to our building.

We would ask if you could allow 5 or 10 minutes upon arrival on your first morning of the camp to fill in the necessary paper work or you can download it here
