Covid 19


The outbreak of Corona virus (COVID-19) and the subsequent government guidelines have made it necessary for ACTIVATE to review its operation and adopt this new protocol known as COVI9-19 PROTOCOL.

This Protocol is designed to prevent the possibly spread of Covid-19 in our premises and assist in contact tracing when necessary.

A summary of the protocol includes:

    1. Training: Covid-19 information and awareness training for all staff
    2. Notices: Covid-19 posters and signs are placed on entrances, toilets, walls and floor informing customer of the guidelines (e.g. Social distancing, hand watching/sanitising, cough/sneezing etiquette)
    3. Screen protection: Perplex screen shield install on our registration desk and cash register counters
    4. Hand sanitising: Everyone entering our premises are required to sanitise their hands before being allowed in
    5. Mask/face covering: Everyone entering our premises are required to have face covering or mask on
    6. Enhanced cleaning & sanitising: In addition to our strict cleaning regime, we have included cleaning and sanitising of our play equipment and toilets after each play slot (30 mins between each slot)

  1. Contact tracing measure:Introduction of time slots for walk in play, ensuring no mixing of people on the different time slots, and collecting phone number of the responsible adult in the group
  2. Number control/monitoring:With the introduction of booking system the number of people on our premises are monitored and controlled, so that we will not exceed the number of people allowed and not exceeding maximum 105 mins stay in our premises
  3. Staff face covering and temperature monitoring:Staff temperature checked daily on arrival to work and staff are required to wear mask or face covering when attending to customer on the seating floor area
  4. Electronic customers registration/contactless payment:Electronic customer registration with an iPad (which is wiped down with sanitising wipe after each use) is in place to eliminate paper and pen handling. Contactless payment is also advised in order to reduce handling of cash
  5. Sanitising station: A sanitising station is setup for customers that may wish to sanitise their hands or seat again while already in the premises.
  6. Pre Booking: Please call us on 051 325097 to book your activity and avoid disappointment.

Customer health

We’re asking that all customers stay home if they have had any Covid-19 or flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days .Please ensure that you and all members of your group (including children) abide by the latest Government guidelines on social distancing at all times.
We are only using alternate bowling lanes to support social distancing and bowling balls, ramps, lane seating and scoring screens will be sanitised between each use.
We require all of our customers to sanitise their hands upon entry. We also have hand sanitiser available throughout the centre to be used as needed.
In order to assist with the Government Track and Trace service, when you arrive for your visit a member of the team will take your contact details.

We want to make sure our customers feel safe at all times while visiting our centre and disposable gloves are available on request.

Enhanced cleaning procedures

Our team  are all working hard to keep Activate clean throughout the day. Our bowling, soft play area, climbing facility, mini golf, laser zone, cinema will be sanitised after each usage along with counters, tables, chairs, door handles and other high touch surfaces are also cleaned at least twice daily.
We also deep clean each night after closing to ensure all of our surfaces are fully sanitised ready for the next day.

We have got the news that everyone has been waiting for…. WE ARE NOW OPEN!

To comply with current Government Covid -19 regulations we have had to make the following temporary changes to our business to facilitate opening as safely as possible!

Initially we will be opening three areas of our center: Soft play, Climbing/Bouldering & Bowling.

Each of these areas will have their own guidelines that we will go through will you over our Social medias in the coming days.

The main points that we would like to get across today are:

  • All our activities must be pre-booked over the phone on 051-325097. This is the only form of bookings we will be taking.
  • We will be open Wednesday to Sunday 11am-9pm, Closed Monday & Tuesdays, This is just temporary and we hope to be open full time in the near future.
  • All staff have completed a Covid-19 Training course and are fully trained in covid-19 compliance and cleaning procedures
  • We have taken all the necessary pre-cautions inside our building to protect both customers and staff such as sneeze guards, one-way systems, and sanitizing stations throughout etc.
  • We have introduced ‘Activates Colour Code System’ Each activity will have its own coloured floor marking which you will follow to your chosen activity upon entry.
  • Soft play - We have maintained our play time of 1hr 30 minutes, followed by 30 minutes cleaning and sanitizing between each group. The new time slots will be posted in the coming days.
  • Climbing- We have introduced 75min sessions for climbing/bouldering which must be pre-booked in advance. Numbers will be limited per session.
  • Bowling- Every second lane in Bowling will be open for 1hr sessions only with maximum of 6 people per lane. Pre-booking is essential.
  • All new relevant terms & conditions and pricing will be available on our website in the COVID section

 

We apologise if this seems like a lot of rules and regulations, but we feel like this is safest and most efficient way for us to re-open! We are extremely excited to re-open; we have put in a lot of work to ensure that Activate is ready for your return!
